Siege Vonholy The Writer

I’ve always been a story teller, and I guess I would consider my self a poet , a hopeless romantic, a dreamer, trying to paint a picture with words, driven from the God kind of love.

I hate boxes, I hate having to say I'm either this or that, but these boxes tend to be our way of trying to control passion, spirit and emotion, so to satisfy the boundaries of your thoughts and interests, I guess my writing tends to be drawn towards Love, not the kind of love we dream about, the kind of love that transcends logic, time and reality, but because I'm a Writer, writing a tale depicting this kind of spirit , to the world, It is called Fiction, but to me , true intimacy, not just romance. But my writing is not just rose peddles and sunsets, but of War and triumph, the release of our true nature as conquerors, fighting the good fight, through worlds that are sometimes unlike the ones we recognize, but could relate to your circumstances none the less, maybe the stories I write, could answer some questions you've kept hidden deep in your soul.

I’ve never considered my self a teacher or expert at anything, I'm just a story teller, connected to a Truth you might believe is just subjected, and by no means am I here to challenge your perspective...I'm just telling a story the best way I know how...Starting with my first, self published Book called Love Letters From Hell , a poetic understanding of Heaven an Hell. Is not a religious book, or a book of poetry like some one once asked. But a book about this Love ,War and triumph I spoke about earlier, and the reason why I don't give a clear description of what this story is a about? Is because I’ve never been a fan of trailers, and if I did that, the mystery of the whole book would undeniably be lost. But if your up for the unprepared adventure and mystery, then by all means , take this journey with me.

Siege Vonholy the Band/Musician

I grew up in a house hold filled with a lot of different kinds of live instrumental music like, Jazz, Blues and R&B. My Dad was the kind of person that loved to buy music from all around the world, so I got exposed to a lot of different bands like, Fourplay, BB King and Boys Two Men just to name a few from a very young age, so I developed the love and appreciation for all different genres of music . As I grew older, genres like Hip hop and rock music began to take more of the front set of my interest and influences, just as I started playing the guitar, both the electric and the acoustic guitar, but once I got exposed to Latin flamenco music, the kind of music done by a band called Rodrigo y Gabriela, my focus quickly shifted towards the classical guitar, the moment I saw a female guitarist, that was part of that band playing, her name was Gabriela Quintero, and the way she played basically became the foundation of where my own unique sound came from.

Music was obviously more then just a hobby, so after high school, I went straight into studying music at a local music academy called Abraham Devar’s Music Academy, where I was taught one on one for 2 and a half years under the mentorship of Abraham devar. After two and a half years with the help of my music mentor, I was able to grow my sound, as I went through all the classical pieces from Bach and Juan Montoya and piano an vocal training, as I started playing the electrical guitar, and that
exposed me to Artists like Jimi Hendrix and listening to Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, after 2 and  a half years, I accidentally came across an Artist by the name of Jon Gomm, He played a finger tapping style on the guitar,  and he's approach towards his sound kind of helped me to piece together the sound I have been trying to pieces together for years, and what I mean by approach, I mean by how he uses his foot pedals and how he mic's up his acoustic guitar and how he controls everything during his performances from one song to the other. So basically my favourite and most influential artists, In this order are, Gabriela Quintero , Jimi Hendrix an Jimmy Page, Kendrick Lamar an J Cole, and finally Jon Gomm.

I know you're wandering right now how all of this pieces together, well my sound , just to explain in short. I deliver a sound somewhere between flamenco and finger style tapping music, with classical and jazz backgrounds, with vocal elements of rock and rap culture.
